Blue Rodeo's Mulit-instrumentalist Bob Egan added to The Mad Mile band
Yes, it's true - pedal steel player extraordinaire Bob Egan will join the band for The Mad Mile sessions.  Bob has had an illustrious career, including touring with Wilco, Freakwater, Oh Susanna, and of course Blue Rodeo.  His session work includes albums by Hayden, Cowboy Junkies, Matt Mays, Jason Collett, Wilco, Neko Case and many more.  For more about Bob, please visit www.bobegan.com.

Jayhawks' front man Gary Louris in town to co-write and do pre-production The Mad Mile
Gary and Kirsten wrote three tunes for her upcoming release, and managed to squeeze in pre-production for all the songs as well.  At this point, it looks like they will record 13 songs in total, 10 or 11 of which will end up on the finished CD.  Kirsten's band was there for the pre-production sessions, and it has been confirmed that Mitch Girio (bass), Kevin Zarnett (guitar/vocals), and Robin Pirson (drummer) will indeed appear on the album.  More band members will be announced at a later date.
